Membership of the CRT is by invitation, and is open to representatives of the Wet Tropics and Cape York regions active in cassowary research, management and community activities. This may include:

• relevant local councils, State and Commonwealth government agencies
• regional NRM bodies
• research organisations.
• Aboriginal interests
• landholders or land managers
• cassowary conservation groups
• tourism industry and zoos, and
• other individuals or groups with a particular interest or expertise in cassowary matters.

Requests to be invited to join the CRT should be submitted to the Secretariat and will then be considered by current members.
